This client is a full-service landscape design firm located in Southern California. Projects consist of Custom Residential, Residential Re-do's, and Commercial and Public Works. Whatever the project, our goal is always the same: 'Fully utilizing and enjoying outdoor spaces.' Explore the pieces that make a space come alive while designing green-based gardens that are low water and low maintenance. We believe that well-prepared space planning, aesthetic, and durable materials along with our quality craftsmanship are the ingredients to a vibrant and livable outdoor space. Our company is looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our team.

 

Responsibilities & Objectives of this Role:

  • Manage multiple active projects at any given time

  • Translate designed spaces into CAD to create plans, construction drawings, and base plans

  • Understand city codes and regulations associated to design features and lot information (includes setbacks, easements, height restrictions and city standards)

  • Review HOA guidelines and extract information that is associated to the design features and lot, as required

  • Prepare base sheets

  • Take conceptual design and implement into CAD

  • Prepare all required sheets for design presentation

  • Input plant information from surveys

  • Prep for design presentation with client

  • Prep HOA and City sets (including paperwork, applications, etc.)

  • Revise plans and elevations based on comments from clients, HOA, and city standards

  • Develop and maintain CAD standards and procedures, communicate with design team regarding new and revised prints, and the awareness and familiarization of drafting standards

  • Conduct other design production tasks as needed to support Project Managers and Designers

     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • Proficient in AutoCAD

  • 2-4 years’ experience in project management role 

  • Industry specific experience

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Creative problem solver

  • Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge
